1. Realize that your home business is not a hobby. It is a business. To
achieve success in any business, you’ve got to work. Commit the time
necessary that allows your business to bring you the rewards of success.
2. There is no such thing as a get rich scheme. If you see a sales page that
says you can make millions in your first week, run! It is not going to
happen. Don’t waste your money on these kinds of systems.
3. Learn everything you can about your particular niche and the market you
serve. Research marketing as well as advertising techniques to maximize the
your income potential.
4. Master 1 skill at a time. For example: if you buy a $150 course on PPC
advertising, master that skill before moving on to something else. Become an
expert in every aspect of your business.
5. Develop a detailed business plan. It should include long term as well as
short term goals. Be specific and stick to it! How many hours will you work
each day? Describe in detail the marketing and advertising methods you
intend to use. What is you monthly advertising budget/marketing budget? What
are your realistic 3 month, 6 month and 1 year income goals?
6. When you are working online, WORK. Do not visit chat rooms to socialize,
spend your time at the computer doing productive things that will ensure the
success of your home business.
7. Work tirelessly on marketing your business (or website). You’ll never
make any money if customers can’t find you. This is the area where people
have the most problems. Make it a priority!
